Rhinoplasty (Aesthetic Nose Surgery)
Aesthetic nose surgeries are the process of correcting the structure and dimensions of the nose in proportion to the face. In addition to these, cartilage and bone curvatures and breathing problems in the nose can be corrected.
The earliest age at which nose development is completed (16-17 in girls; 17-18 in boys) should be expected for surgery.
It is one of the most difficult procedures for surgeons; because the range of motion is very limited; It is the most striking organ of the human body. Therefore, the slightest defect is noticed. For this reason, it is one of the most revised surgeries.
The operation takes 2.5-3 hours on average. General anesthesia is generally preferred. However, it can also be performed under local anesthesia, depending on the type of procedure. You will stay in the hospital for one night after the operation.
During the operation, there is usually no scar when working inside the nose. However, bruising and swelling are seen in the first 2 or 3 weeks. The final result will be evident after a full recovery, that is, within 3 to 6 months. It should be waited for 1 year to decide whether a second operation is needed.
The point that should not be forgotten is that the patient's expectations should be realistic before the nose surgery and a consensus should be reached on the results that will emerge by meeting with the doctor who will perform the surgery.
